How much more would you spend on each if it were exactly what you were looking for? Is the metal content important to you? What metal do you prefer? Is fiber content important to you? Is it important that the fiber be natural? what fiber do you prefer? About how much do you spend on dance related things per month? Per year? What colors do you prefer in costuming? What colors do you prefer in jewelry? Does it matter to you if the "stones" are authentic stones or synthetic? Is craftsmanship in the metal work of concern to you?

I've been thinking about this a lot... At first, I thought about it generally, but I'm in a business class and they stress that you cannot be all things to everybody so focus and specialize... They stress Ford's Edsel senario... you can't try to please all with one model. I was also in contact with a reputable online magazineer who told me that she did some market research a few years in a row at festivals, but found the answers to her polls to be "obvious" and wasn't sure of the validity. This made me question each question I was prepared to ask and wonder if I could guess the general answers easily... That helped me eliminate a lot of questions. So I am really interested in jewelry and accessories... that's what I make. I am now finishing up my poll as we speak, but it has become more pesonalized and focused to what I need to know. Might be interesting to note which dance styles they do - ATS or ITS only? Tribal fusion? Goth? Wildly experimental? Do they also do Egyptian, Turkish, American Classic, or Lebanese, or are they strictly Tribal? Do they do professional gigs or just unpaid ones such as haflas and community stages?

Ok so I am still doing research for school, and I am going to be attending TribalFest here in a week. I've decided to take a poll while I am immersed in the tribal belly dance community. I am looking for additional relevant questions that will help me get a well rounded idea of who the tribal belly dance market is. This is the rough list I have thus far: Age Where are you from? How long have they been dancing? Do you perform? How often? Do you primarily learn from a teacher, workshops, DVDs, ???, other... Is this your first workshop? Is this your first TribalFest? About how many teachers are in their town? How do they keep up with the belly dance world happenings? I know there are so many other relevant things to ask, but I am blocked at the moment.
